Objections to Bankruptcy Disbursements

After a bankruptcy lawyer files a petition with the court, a trustee will handle the details of how the creditors will be paid from the debtor's nonexempt assets. The trustee will develop a report that includes information about how creditors will be paid. This report is filed with the court and is available for the creditors to examine. If a creditor objects to the disbursement plan, that person or entity can file an objection with the court.

You can hear more about disbursement objections by consulting your bankruptcy attorney and watching this video. This video explains that the disbursement plan will move forward if no objections are filed after a set period of time.
